Originally from Germany, the Miniature Pinscher is a small terrier dog. It is also known as a toy breed. Miniature Pinschers have short hair and shed little making them a dog that needs little actual coat care. There are two main color lines for this breed red and black and tan and black.
These beautiful dogs are very smart and playful. Miniature Pinschers are loyal to their family and very protective of both their family members and their homes. They need lots of love and attention. However, they are curious as a toddler and you need to keep small toys or anything with small pieces out of their reach as it could be a choking hazard. They also have a long lifespan, when you adopt a Miniature Pinscher, you will likely have a loving canine companion for an average of fifteen years.
